On January 14th, the Ray-Pec High School Choirs will be putting on "RPSELECT DAY". It is meant to act as an "honor choir" setting, but without the audition! We are looking for the very best and more interested singers in the Raymore-Peculiar District. This event is for grades 5 through 12.
The event is completely free and includes 5 hours of music making from noon to 5 pm at RPHS and will culminate in a concert open to the public in the RPHS Media Center (under the giant RP behind the construction).
If you would like to attend, please complete the registration at the link above by January 10th.

Good Afternoon,
Thanks again for registering for the RPSELECT DAY tomorrow at RPHS. I wanted to send one more reminder about the event including some additional details. Some items will be a repeat. I wanted to thank you in advance for taking the time to make this a reality for your student. A special thanks to Mrs. Twenter and Mrs. Waltz!
Important information:
For dropoff, please drop your singer off at the bus lanes on the north side of RPHS. You will need to use the South Middle School entrance and come across in front of the Peculiar Methodist church to access the lot due to the construction of our new PAC. I have a map attached for those who prefer visuals. Follow the highlighted path to the red star. You can park in the bus lot and check in just inside the doors. We will have choir leadership members at the sidewalk to help you get to the right place. Please park and walk your singer to the check-in. We will have volunteers to collect the PARENT CELL number in case we would need to reach you during the day.
Please also use this lot when you park for the concert. Concert entry will be at the same place as check-in. Please also use the bus lines for additional parking. If all parking in the lot is full for the concert, please proceed through the back of the lot and park at South Middle School. This is a little walk, but not as far as walking around the building from the RPHS student lot.
We will have the library transformed into a concert venue. Doors will open at 4:30 pm for the concert that will start at 5 pm. The concert will include a few numbers from the Chamber Choirs at RPHS as well as the songs we have prepared throughout the day. Seating should be a little tight, but I believe we will all fit into the space. I cannot wait for this event to be in our new performing arts center that is set to open near the end of next school year. We hope your singer will continue in the performing arts so they will get to sing in the new space!
Once again, our goal with this event is to have a rewarding musical experience for all participants and to connect the singers from RP grades 5 to 12. At this event, your singer will get to play games, learn about music and even learn 3 songs (or more) for a concert at 5 pm in the RPHS Media Center. At the conclusion of the concert (roughly 5:40 pm), your singer will be dismissed. Feel free to take photos with their new friends and post with #rpsings.
We are excited to offer this opportunity and hope it will become a tradition for years to come.
Looking forward to a great day.
